Eglise St-Sulplice

This is a massive church which overwhelms the Place with the same name.
Building started  in 1646, it took 150 years to complete and had 6 architects. Probably had something to do with the fact that the 2 towers are different. The story goes that apparently the good folk didn't like the original so they pulled it down and started afresh, however it was never completed so the original and the new design stand together.
The most recent claim to fame for this magnificent church is that it was the setting for the crucial discovery in Dan Brown's the Da Vinci Code

For me, it was time again to play with my camera.

The interior of this church is of massive proportions and is stunningly beautiful.
